Now, let me talk about what I have learned from making a YouTube channel. The first thing that pops to mind: commitment. And editing. But mostly commitment. Let me elaborate. You can't just say, "oh! I want to make a YouTube channel!" And then not do anything on it. You have to stay focused on the task at hand. You can't just stop making videos for a large amount of time without a good excuse. Which leads me to my next point.
I've stopped making videos for a large amount of time.
But I have a good excuse.
I know I should apologize for that, but let me explain.
My Spanish and math grades are not so good, so I'm trying to raise those up for the school year end, but right now I'm trying to make a video, but I also have the school play in the way, so once that's done Sunday, it's business as usual.
Let me now talk about editing. Specifically, editing with premier pro. Well,
It's really hard.
The main reason is that I only know about half of how it works, and I can still make quality videos using that fifty percent, but I'm trying to find out how to use the OTHER fifty percent to add to the current fifty percent so that the two fifty percent will become one hundred percent.
Get what I'm saying?
Pretty much I want to know how to use it completely in an overly elaborate sentance. I know. I like doing that.
But other than that, nothing has really been happening, so I kinda have to cut this blog short. I promise I will have more to say next week because I will be more available to make videos, but right now I'm not, so by by!
I have gone down the road of video editing, it is hard, but worth the reward. Stick with it!
ReplyDeleteIf you haven't already, making a schedule of each thing you have to do, down to the hour, can really help if you have a large workload.
ReplyDeleteman I have a lot of respect for you I've wanted to start a YouTube channel for the longest time but encountered two problems, First I cant find a screen recording software that is free and actually works they always give me a free "TRIAL" and then like a week later there all like "oh by the way you have to pay $$$" so... yeah. second I can't find the time to do it with all the school and stuff??? how do you do it?
ReplyDeleteAlthough your projects has taken a back seat for a coupe of weeks, what has that done to your schedule for your project? Are you still OK, or do you have to readjust to meet your goals? Sounds like you have some readers who want to know how you got your channel started, too.
ReplyDeleteI love your writing style! You make your posts your own, and keep it casual. I agree with Dylan, you really should make a schedule. I know it's hard to stick with it.
ReplyDeleteThat's cool that you're so dedicated to this project. I think it's important to be dedicated to you're project no matter what you're doing so props to you for that. I love that you're not just writing a long slightly boring post. You have made it a little bit more fun and have separated it into paragraphs which makes a big difference.

ReplyDeleteI've made a few youtube videos over my time, and I really enjoy working with premier pro software. I learned about it while in school and I just picked it up and experimented with it. I just know that you have to really stick with it, and work hard at it, it can be time consuming but the end product leaves you with a feeling of accomplishment. Keep at it!
ReplyDeleteMy brother has tackled this particular idea before and you are correct video editing is hard work and requires commitment. Keep working on it and I think you can easily learn whatever you want.

ReplyDeleteYeah editing is pretty hard. Just r ember a passably edited video is better than no video at all.
ReplyDeleteI can only imagine how hard it would be to do everything that is involved with making YouTube videos, but it is awesome that you are putting in that effort to make them! Like you said, it definitely takes a lot of time and commitment.
